Emma Bromley is a passionate Pilates addict and BASI Pilates certified instructor, having studied under the tutelage of Rael Isacowitz himself (a 2nd generation pilates mentor). She began practicing pilates in London in 2008, saw an immediate transformation in her body and was hooked.
Since then, Emma began her journey as a Pilates instructor in 2011, completing her comprehensive classical training through Whole Body Method in West Hollywood, and then further graduating with BASI pilates in 2014. She also completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Program with Noah Mazé and studied extensive anatomy with Dr Paula Sauer. She has a hunger for learning, an obsession with the way the body works, and regularly partakes in continuing education workshops. She believes one can never know enough about the human body and takes pride in motivating her clients to perform, function and move better in all areas of their lives. Whether they be runners, dancers, cyclists, surfers, golfers etc, she loves seeing and sharing the physical and mental transformation that practicing Pilates brings.
Her wide knowledge of anatomy and movement has lead Emma to work with clients of all levels and abilities; from those seeking a strong and lean “Hollywood” body, to others needing rehabilitation guidance after various injuries. She is also certified in Pre & Post Natal Pilates and has extensive experience working with Diastasis Recti. Since giving birth to her beautiful daughter in 2015, Emma suffered a severe Diastasis and TWO pregnancy related hernias. Getting her body back into full working order was no mean feat, and she has since become obsessive about pelvic floor health and function.
Emma tailors every session to each client’s specific needs and her ultimate goal is to help every client experience their body getting stronger and more efficient with every session, ensuring they look and feel their best! She believes that everyone should enjoy knowing the smartest way to work with their own body and loves to watch her students grow as they build strength, endurance, flexibility, better posture and confidence in their own abilities. Ultimately, she has a passion for helping people connect to the CORE of who they are, and MOVE through their lives with more ease.
Emma teaches out of her own private guest house style studio in Woodland Hills. Equipped with a Balanced Body Allegro 2 reformer, a Balanced Body Exo Chair and plenty of space for matwork and other small apparatus. The Studio is a traquil and stylish space in the ‘Dumetz Village’ area of Woodland Hills, just before you head down into Topanga Canyon.
Sessions are one on one so that each workout can be tailored to the client’s specific needs and goals. Emma is a firm believer that working privately achieves results much faster than with group classes - when the mind is fully focused, it is quite astounding what the body can do!
